Álbum de estreia dos Strokes é eleito o melhor da década

O álbum "Is this it", de 2001, que marcou a estreia da banda norte-americana The Strokes, foi eleito o melhor da década numa votação promovida pelo tradicional semanário musical inglês "Nem Musical Express".

"Up the bracket" (2002), dos Libertines, ficou em segundo lugar, seguido por "XTRMNTR", gravado em 2002 pela banda escocesa Primal Scream. Radiohead, The White Stripes e The Streets foram alguns dos artistas que tiveram dois discos incluídos no ranking.

Participaram da votação músicos, produtores, compositores e executivos da indústria da música.

"Esta é a lista definitiva dos grandes álbuns dos anos 2000, pois quem participou da votação ajudou a fazer esta década musicalmente brilhante", disse à BBC Krissi Murison, editor do NME.
